PROFESSIONAL BAL ASSESSMENTS AND REPORTS.
There are 6 possible BAL ratings for your site.
This is determined by the 6 step method below.
This is done by a accredited assessor using a variety of tools to classify & measure the surrounding vegetation /topography including on-site & aerial photography to determine the sites BAL rating then produce a BAL certificate with a bushfire report.

Step 1 Determine the relevant FDI (Fire Danger Index for you area)
Step 2 Determine classification of surrounding vegetation types.
Step 3 Determine the distance of the site from the classified vegetation types.
Step 4 Determine the effective slope(s) under the classified vegetation types.
Step 5 Determine the BAL
